The Goodie BagSM is about reward and I'm so excited about our first goodie because the rewards are multi-fold. Our first goodie will be a Gettington shopping bag as a free gift with purchase. But this is not any shopping bag, it is a FreeSet shopping bag. It is eco-friendly and Fair Trade certified.
However, what makes this bag special is that FreeSet is a program that changes the lives of women in India. These are women who now have a choice because of the bags that they make (and Gettington is about providing choices which is a great reinforcement of our brand). Here is a little snippet of the FreeSet organization philosophy.
Freeset exists specifically to provide freedom for women from the sex trade, women who were forced into prostitution by trafficking or poverty. These women didn't choose their profession — it was chosen for them.
